Ted Murray, an engineer, born in 1935 at Newcastle upon Tyne and rescued from the rubble of the blitz in 1941, still remembers his Granny’s text hanging on the wall of the bomb-damaged house: “Kept by the power of God”. Saved by faith at 14, he found fellowship with a group of “Brethren” some three years later. Travelling abroad during his working life allowed Ted to minister to God’s people in various parts of the world.
